The financial aid is the complete collection of grants, scholarships, loans, and work-study employment from all sources (federal, state, institutional, and private) offered to a student to enable them to attend college or university.
How to apply? There are two ways to apply for financial aid. Go online http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/. The other option is obtain a financial aid form from the school the student is attending and fill the form and return it to the proper address. Who is Eligible? Students who work less than $11,000 annually are eligible to get financial aid. Depending on the student’s income and situation financial aid package also contains a work-study grant which help students to obtain jobs at the school while they attend school.
When to apply? Usually financial aid application is accepted on January of the year the student is trying to attend the school. Important Documents to apply for the grant. Students have to have tax return documents available before applying for the grant. Although, this document is not submitted along with the financial aid form most part of the financial aid form requires tax return information. |
